Sexperterna \/ Sexwork is a unit within RFSL Stockholm dedicated to harm reduction for sex workers, with a core focus on sexual health and HIV prevention. <\/span>Our work covers five main areas: condom distribution, testing, education, advocacy, and counseling offered through\u00a0 <\/span>RFSL Stockholms counseling clinic<\/a>. Our Approach<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We work with peer-based and empowerment methods. All our activities are designed by, or in collaboration with, sex workers for sex workers. Our approach is based on evidence, ethical research, and recommendations from the World Health Organization. We focus on reducing stigma and making sex work safer.<\/p>\n

Condom Distribution<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Whether you’re an individual or an organization, you\u2019re welcome to contact us for a free supply of condoms, lube, and other harm reduction materials essential when meeting clients.<\/p>\n

Testing<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Through Sexperterna \/ Testpoint<\/a> , we offer low-threshold HIV and STI testing for sex workers of all genders and sexual identities. You can usually test for HIV and syphilis every Tuesday from 18:00 to 20:30 at RFSL Stockholm.<\/p>\n

We also offer dedicated testing times for sex workers, where the service is tailored to your needs. A peer (another sex worker) is always present, creating a safe space where you’re free to talk about what matters to you.<\/p>\n

Education for Professionals Working with Sex Workers<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We offer training on inclusive and respectful treatment for professionals who\u00a0 engage with sex workers in their roles, whether in healthcare, social work, or other support services. Each session is tailored to the specific needs of your team or organization.<\/p>\n

Counseling<\/strong><\/h3>\n

RFSL Stockholm’s counselling clinic offers specialized psychosocial support for sex workers and those who work with this group. As a sex worker, you may choose to remain anonymous. For more info an contact click here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Advocacy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our website features information written by and in collaboration with sex workers. We aim to raise awareness about the challenges sex workers face and share strategies for addressing them. We collaborate closely with Queer Sex Workers<\/a>,<\/strong> an RFSL Stockholm member group. You can reach them at qsw@stockholm.rfsl.se<\/a>. We also collaborate with Red Umbrella Sweden<\/a>, the national organization advocating for sex workers\u2019 rights. This partnership is especially important given our focus on HIV prevention and sexual health: Red Umbrella Sweden is the only organization in Sweden with active sex worker members.
