Sexperterna/Sexwork offers a peer support unit — currently the only one of its kind in Sweden — where sex workers can meet others from the community, receive one-on-one support from our peer staff, and get tested for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.
Our drop-in sessions are free and confidential, with no booking required.
You can remain anonymous with our peer team, with no ID required.
The space is grounded in anti-racist, feminist, queer, and sex work-friendly values.
After your visit, you’ll receive a goodie bag containing:
- Condoms and lube
- A harm reduction kit important for those doing sex work
- A small gift
- Informational material (contacts for sex workers’ groups in Stockholm, meeting spaces, and professionals who can support you in working more safely, doing sex work less, or stop selling sex if that is your goal).

The Sexperterna/Sexwork peer team has completed training with RFSL Sexperterna in HIV & STI testing, harm reduction, and peer empowerment methods.
In a safe, one-on-one, stigma-free setting, we can talk about safer sex, personal safety, and drug use, among other topics.
During our peer sessions, we use the evidence-based strategy of Motivational Interviewing (MI) — agenda mapping, a method recommended by the Swedish Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten) for those leading conversations on sexual health and well-being.
Our peer team speaks nine languages:
English, Swedish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Kurmanji, French, Fanji, and Croatian.
We proudly collaborate with Älvsjö Sexuell Hälsa, a Stockholm sexual health clinic whose staff will be located just next to the peer support space, offering chlamydia and gonorrhea testing frequently requested by the sex workers we meet. Staff from Älvsjö Sexuell Hälsa have completed our official training on how to provide respectful, affirming care to people who sell sex, focusing on positive change based on each person’s goals and situation.
